Anyone have any background on these Corvette race cars? Another. Not exactly in the image of current Corvette Racing attitudes and technologies are they?
There were a few of these Covettes of this vintage in the funny car wars. A number of them crashed on the big end because of poor aero dynamics with the chopped off roof of the coupe body. Once they cut off the roofs they did not have anymore of the accidents on the big end. I do not remember this paint scheme but I do remember the candy appler red one of the Beachcity Corvette funny car though. Like I said there were a few of them but none really done all that well.
